Songs: Transient Calls Lost (2001)

The title of this song: "Transient Calls Lost" was a message that the phone office's computer used to spit out when calls were randomly dropped. I used to work 3rd shift at SBC monitoring the phone offices and I would see this message scroll by (with the number of calls dropped- anywhere from 2 to 2,000) I always wondered what might have been going on in those conversations/lives when the super-computer decided to leave them hanging.

Opposite ends
Reaction due in time
Waiting for the sun to go away
Triumph regret
Wipe away sweat
Looking through the window in your soul

Mission control
Nothing feels real
We are the world
Hyper surreal
Yeah I'm real
Cause I feel
Sounds from a machine
It keeps me squeaky squeaky clean yeah
I'm clean

Stare at the sun
Go on the run
Do it all once before it's over
It's over
Transient calls
Run through the halls
Turn off the lights so I can see you
and feel you

I'm weary of Earth
Of life death and birth
Carry me home before the storm comes
You bright ones
The ebb and the flow
The math we all know
The things we don't see while we're awake
I'm awake now

Alcohol sun
Celestial one
Fallen away
Label of hate
Feeling so high
Can I deny
I'm comfortably dumb
Endlessly young

I'll be the colors in your dreams
Like healthy eyes
So don't waste the hours in the day
Just sit around
