Songs: The Boys Club (1997)

This is the first song I ever recorded with my friend and long time music collaborator Grey. It was written about the bar "BBC" in Milwaukee. I worked there as a cook in my late teens and early twenties. The people in this song were regulars we used to get a kick out of.
Guess you had to be there.
I saw a man last night
Talking bout a sattellite
Marco was his name he said
He gave me rocks then went to bed
The Boys Club (3X) Marco (3X)
There was a guy there too
Rolling dice and playing cue
He watches people hang out
Chewing gum he'll walk out
The Boys Club (3X) Dice guy (3X)
The bartender was mean
He was short and blew off steam
He wouldn't say a word
He'll look at you like you're absurd
The Boys Club (3X) Boogie (3X)
Frank comes in with sausage
Senile and insane
Don't ask what's in his cooler baby
I think it's his brain he doesn't play games
at The Boys Club (3X) Cannoli! (3X)
Pavel is a pervert
He sips red wine and he stares
Talking with his accent he writes songs and he prepares
The Boys Club (3X) Pavel (3X- with a French accent)
