Songs: At Dawn (2002)

This song is written and played in the unique guitar tuning DADGAD. Sounds very "Eastern", calming, "sitar"ish. Taken from a conversation I had with a schitzophrenic man.

At least we're OK
Dream land passed away
Beating the clock with bitter sand
We always find a way
But it's doing to me what it's always done

A thousand lifetimes in a desert is how
I know that it's the first light we have seen
I'm trading jacks for hearts
Before it's not too late
Good friends will always act the same

The planets are watching us live our lives
The sun comes up at dawn
The moon will hide
Nobody seems to care
That we're always in the dark
Then it begins like winter left it's mark

You and I always knew
All we are is passing through
